The Accountant Review

1 + 1 = Guns???

The Accountant Review – Bat-fleck decides to ditch his bat cape for a while and change of career for a while.
....that's right...you better hide from your Accountant before you get audited!

Christian "Chris" Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a mathematical genius who works as an accountant with a shady personality. He is quietly pursued by Raymond King (J.K. Simmons) of the Treasury Department. King recruits young analyst, Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) to help him identify and arrest the Accountant prior to his retirement, threatening to expose Medina's un-filed criminal past if she refuses. Christian later gets hired to peruse accounts at a corporation called Living Robotics after their junior accounting associate, Dana Cummings (Anna Kendrick) notice some discrepancies. As both number nerds work together, they figure out that millions of dollars are embezzled from the company. Things soon get complicated when an Assassin tries to kill both Wolff and Cummings. A confrontation between the accountant and the assassin later reveals a connection from the past. Who stole the money? Who is the assassin? Who is Christian Wolff?
Accountants don't mingle with people like the rest of us

First of all I would like to state that I hate maths so whenever the accountant starts to jabber about numbers, my mind went blank but once I got over the mathematical equation, I found that the story to be interesting only…only to be let down at the end. I remember saying… “so what is the purpose of this movie?’. A good build up was spoiled by a bland ending. Perhaps there will be a sequel to this story but there were no cliff-hanger, it just ended the way it did. As the acting, I was cringing to see Ben to crack a smile because his face looked pretty much like mine when I had to do some calculation. This talented man need to act in a much happy movie and loosen up before we associate him with misery. I miss the old Ben when he was much more cheerful. Thank God for Anna’s role because she managed to get a few crinkles on Ben’s tensed face. Storyline and characters…that’s all I can think about in pretty much a forgettable flick for this year.
...is that you Michelle Obama?

The end was like this...the end....and that's when I went "Huh? that's the end?" :P
