Bridget Jones's Baby Review

Hey there Bridg!

Bridget Jones's Baby Review – My favourite British singleton is back on the big screen after 12 years with a new dilemma.

She is not heavy...she is just being Bridget

The last time we saw Bridget, (Renee Zellweger) she finally married her dream guy, Human Rights Barrister, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) and also got over the cheesy Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant). Fast forward to few years, we see Bridget back once again in her apartment, alone and still singing to ‘All By Myself’. What the fuck happened Brig? Que change of tune and another new resolution to not dwell on the past, she gets back up once again to take over the world until her younger Boss decides to give her hard time at work. Not the one to give up easily, Bridget embrace the new challenge but still finds time to mess about. This time in the form of American internet billionaire, Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey) while also ‘having’ a good spell with Mark Darcy. Next thing you know, our girl gets knocked up not sure who is the baby daddy…dun dun dun…the rest…well…go watch to find out who really is Bridget Jones’s Baby daddy.

I'd be excited if Emma Thompson were my Doc too!

Oh Renee, you were born to play Bridget and Mr. Colin Firth, I understand why women all over the world still swoon at you. Despite aging, both of you still give me goosebumps when I see you together on the screen. You both are a perfect mismatched couple. Add McDreamy to the combo and boom. That is one threesome I don’t mind getting involved with. Ok, ok fine. I will stick to the review but what can I say? Perfect cast makes a movie enjoyable and boy did I enjoyed myself watching two amazing man trying to woo the women they love despite knowing that she slept with both of them. Everything about the movie is a walk down memory lane for me and also free lesson on how to face with difficulties. I got not one complain about this time around except for the long time it took to bring Bridget back into the limelight but once she is here, you know you are in for a ride so bravo to team for making this possible.

Who's your Daddy? Your baby's Daddy ey?

Usually…I mean usually…sequels to a good movie sucks (read : Bridget Jones : The Edge of Reason….bluergh) and can’t match the original but this third film is master piece. I enjoyed every freaking minute of it. Laughing while reminiscing about the first time I saw Bridget on the big screen. I feel the connection with her as I am now at the same age as she was when she started writing her diary. I’ve been thru some of the things she experienced (not the sex part mind you) and can relate to her more than anyone I’ve met in my real life so YEAY to you Bridget for keeping it real although you are a fictional character. May I say bring on the 4th sequel… * wink wink
